Level Up Your Brand: Canva Create 2025 Recap for Anime Creators & Nerdy Businesses
This moonie touched grass recently and went to Canva Create 2025!
Besides being absolutely starstruck by Jon Batiste, Cynthia Erivo, and Duolingo’s Head of Social, I dove headfirst into the future of AI, creativity without limits, and learned the fine art of surviving treacherous ball pits (more on that later).
Canva’s latest updates will make you clutch your moon rod.
I’m already cookin’ up marketing mischief using them—and if you're an anime creator or run a nerdy small business, it’s time you did too.
So What’s New at Canva?
Among nearly 70 (!) new features, here are the ones that I’m really excited about:
1. Canva Visual Suite 2.0
Imagine all your creative chaos (brand kits, social posts, mockups, websites) happening in one place—no tab overload required. Powered by new AI tools like Magic Write, Magic Design, AI Video Editing, and AI Image Magic, this suite is your brand’s new bestie.
2. Canva Code
You can now create interactive quizzes, flashcards, and mini-apps without knowing how to code. Aaah! I’m getting excited just thinking about all of the ways you can engage your audiences *outside* of social media using this tool.
3. Canva Sheets & Data Visualization
Create and bulk-generate content with ease. Plan your posts, input your data, and watch Canva turn it into beautiful infographics and visuals, perfect for reports, sponsorship pitches, or just flexing your performance metrics.
Here’s How You Can Use These Tools
Tip #1: Use Canva Visual Suite 2.0 to build entire brand universes—logos, merch, social media—all from your cozy gamer desk.
For example:
- If you’re a freelancer building nerdy brands, craft brand boards, social templates, and even merchandise designs all in one space.
- If you’re an animator or aspiring manga artist, bundle storyboards, social teasers, and portfolio pieces into a dynamic pitch deck.
Tip #2: Use Canva Code to build quizzes where visitors discover their inner anime character, superhero persona, or magic class based on zodiac signs, moods and interests.
For example:
- Create a “Which Anime Protagonist Are You?” quiz on your shop's homepage and tie it into your latest anime merch drop.
- Design interactive con or festival games or scavenger hunts where winners score freebies at your booth.
Tip #3: Use Canva Sheets & Data Visualization to log your anime and manga reviews, pitch your comic podcast to brands, and basically become a data storytelling wizard.
For example:
- Bulk-create anime and manga review posts by turning your log in Canva Sheets into social media infographics in just a few clicks.
- Build stunning sponsorship pitch decks showcasing your comic podcast's metrics by pulling your metrics from Canva Sheets into interactive data visualizations that can also be posted on social media and live in your media kit site.
Key Takeaways
Make content so good that people share it FOR FREE. If tied to a clear attribution model, that’s earned media value that you can use to sell yourself as a creator.
Overall, my experience at my first Canva Create was amazing. Free swag, meeting icons IRL, early tool access were all great perks.
But I do have some notes for Canva Create 2026: More water, more shade, more food trucks, and a medic stationed at every activation. Here’s why:
Final Thoughts
Would I go again?
Absolutely.
And in the mean time I’ll be playing around with these new tools for myself and my clients, probably building an anime character generator or something.
